Jesus said, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 19:19

Eucharistic Visitors

Eucharistic Visitors perform a vital ministry in the parish, carrying the sacrament to the sick and homebound.  Each is trained and licensed by the Bishop of New York.

Coffee & Conversation

We really have to include our rather phenomenal coffee hour here.   Not only are we filled each week following the service with incredible food, but we are filled with God’s great gift of community as we catch up, encourage, and most importantly, enjoy each other.

Safe Homes of Orange County

In the fall the parish fills backpacks for children who with their moms are living in a safe home while learning ways to survive an abusive domestic relationship.  At Christmas time, the parish “adopts” a family under the care and protection of Safe Homes.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a global project to collect and distribute shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, personal items, and other gifts to children in more than 130 countries.  St. Paul’s enthusiastically participates in this mission project every year, which helps bring a little extra Christmas joy to needy children all over the world.

St Paul’s Nature Nook – A Community Playground

In June 2015 St. Paul’s Nature Nook was finished and blessed by the Bishop of New York.  An innovative playground built with natural and recycled materials, promotes play and interaction with nature, is open 24/7 to the community.

The Local Food Pantries

St. Paul’s makes weekly food contributions to the food pantry in Chester and Washingtonville and contributes financially to them annually.

Paul’s Place

Feeding the food-needy families of Chester is something St. Paul’s feels strongly about.  In the summer of 2016, St. Paul’s teamed with the Chester Public Library to provide a community lunch with story time and the ability for families to take home needed food.  The mission team continues to look for ways to support the families that need food in Chester.
