Open Hearts!

“We love because He first loved us.”  1 John 4:19

At St. Paul’s we believe Jesus brought the Good News, not the bad news. Like the Apostle Paul, we recognize “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Who, then, are we to judge others?  Perhaps the lifelong Anglican* poet, Oscar Wilde, best expressed the deep compassion of Jesus we seek to follow with open hearts at St. Paul’s:

“Jesus understood the leprosy of the leper,
The darkness of the blind,
The fierce misery of those who live for pleasure,
The strange poverty of the rich,
And the thirst that can make people drink from muddy water.”
